Set of rosewood and black lacquered “S83” side chairs by Eugenio Gerli for Tecno, Italy, 1962
A compact and comfortable chair designed by Eugenio Gerli for Tecno in 1962 that suspends two molded rosewood veneered panels to simple and elegant effect. Black lacquered legs are joined by a die-cast aluminium underside support and aluminium fittings. The original enameled brass Tecno badges on either side hold the seat in place. A gorgeous combination of materials and forms with exceptional graining and coloration on the rosewood.
