Created around 1910, this Edwardian pendant necklace is composed of diamonds, plique-à-jour enamel and platinum. The scrolling floral and foliate motif pendant is composed of old European and old mine-cut diamonds enhanced by panels of lilac and purple enamel, with flexibly-set diamond cascades, with millegrain accents, suspended from a delicate tracelink chain highlighted by spectacle-set transitional-cut diamonds. An Edwardian form enhanced by enamel accents of Art Nouveau inspiration, this intriguing and original jewel successfully blends two of the reigning artistic jewelry styles of the early 20th century.
